Excellent information. Thank you so much! Will do some more homework and complete an adoption form in the next week or so. The fact that you are so thorough lends comfort, knowing you have high standards and a discerning eye - both for the animals and the potential adopters. Hope to be in touch again soon.
Hi, please permit me to introduce myself, in part, my name is Anthony, I'm a resident of Westchester County, New York and I have been a dog owner most of my life. I have been fortunate to be partnered with mixed breeds, an old English sheep dog, a miniature poodle and a rat terrier. I have had a long partnership with each of 10 plus years, at different times.
I have read the referenced literature for doodles and I am further impressed with the doodle breed and your goal to place each one with the right partner, a soul mate so to say.
Knowing who I am, a warm hearted person, true blue to those around me, athletically fit and a caring animal lover, in this case a doodle breed dog, I thank you for this opportunity to bring my interest to your attention. I will honorably proceed to complete the application for your files and consideration.
Hello! My name is Kelly Logan. I recently filled out the application online. I saw Teddy today on your Facebook page. I would love to adopt him! I know he is in New Jersey, but that is no problem for me to pick him up there. Please let me know how I should proceed.
Hi, thank you for making sure I'm aware of the allergy friendly reality for doodles. Done a lot of research and educating. Doodles in general have not bothered my allergies the way say a Husky does. My vet has taught me some ways to identify what is more likely to bother me but no guarantees. I've owned dogs for 30 years other than the past 4 so do have vet records and references, I've also been a foster home for dogs with behavioral concerns or extra training needs - so no beginners over here :-) Thank you for providing such a great resource and support - for us and the dogs!! :-)
Thanks for your email. We won’t be putting in an application until our old girl Sadie passes. She is not well snd deserves our full attention and care. We lost our doodle about 6 months ago from cancer and shortly after Sadie fell ill, though she is at the end of her lifespan. We will focus on her exclusively and let her be the queen for the rest of her life.
Thanks for your response. I am aware that even poodles and mixes can shed and that none are 100% hypo allergenic, nor are there any guarantees when rescuing a dog. We have always rescued dogs with hair that you have to cut/groom, vs. fur. We have not had issues with allergies. We love our poodle and love the traits in poodles, and most of our friends have golden doodle or some sort of doodle. We just love them all! We hope to have a brother or sister for Jack soon.
That is exactly what I will do. I feel like I wrote a heart-felt novel in the last application, so I don't want to lose it....but, I bet I can find a way to fax or scan the printed copy. Again many, many thanks!!!
No, I did not get a confirmation?? I did upload a couple fo pictures that are on this site. Maybe it is taking a long minute to show a confirmed response - Fingers crossed. That is a looooong application, that takes some thought if done right, so I can only hold my breath. I did print off a copy, but what could is that? Maybe I can fax it to someone. It really is such a much better in depth application. Thanks, what would I do without your help?? Mona
