Thanks for your comment. I filled out the complete application on a dog in another state that was adopted by someone else. There weren't any dogs available in Texas at the time. ?Are the applications saved or should I fill out another one? I was interested in Bella. Thanks for your guidance!
Hi Tracy, I live in Colleyville and noticed that you foster doodles in Keller, close to where I live. I have been wanting to adopt a doodle. I completed the application online and haven't heard back. I think that I can offer a really great home. Can you suggest what my next step should be? email@example.com Thanks!
Hi Tracy! My name is Roberta Veazey and I was Barley's foster mom for several weeks before I put him on the plane to come to you in Texas. How is he doing? Barely was a sweetheart. Please let me hear from him. I get so attached when I foster!
Thank you Tracy. Cici and Ranger are both adorable, but too small. But my husband has his heart set on a larger dog this time. I usually get to choose the animals, but he's retired now, so it's his choice :) Please keep us in mind as you receive others and we will keep checking back. We love the doodles, but refuse to go buy a puppy while there are so many in need. So we will just wait.
Hi Tracy! Yes I received the email. Thank you for the quick response. I put my work email on the application because I am on it everyday. I did respond to the email this morning and included my personal mail as well. let me know if you got it. Look forward to speaking with you soon! We are very excited about Liam Ana would love to have a big brother.
Awww, man! I just got off the phone with the shelter that has the other one, and she, of course, already has a rescue group coming for her . . . and. . . she might be preggers!!!! How fun would that be?! That is, after I am done feeling appropriately sorry for her, but . . . . doodle puppiess!!!!!!!!
Tracy - I am checking on that dog. The group that posted it from Beverly Hills is some kind of volunteer group that just posts dogs they find from other sites - like Pet Harbor which is the listing service that most of our county shelters seem to use. So, they always put the dog as "urgent" because it is in a high-kill county shelter, but honestly, no doodle in CA ever gets put down (I don't think) - every rescue group in the area tries to get it as well as the general public - so the chances of that guy really being in danger are pretty small. I always have a hard time getting my hands on any doodles at shelters to bring in to the program because of that! I had emailed him to Jac yesterday and we were debating how big he really is - he is listed as a "medium" on the Pet Harbor site and it's kind of hard to tell from the photo. I am calling on another doodle right now in a shelter north of Los Angeles, and I'll check on this guy next. However, I could potentially use your help at some point, because I really only have 1 foster volunteer in California! Ugh!
I am so glad that you got the ornaments!! I hope was appropriate to send and that they turned out alright and aren't too blurry to read or see who is pictured! Truth be told- I did envision a sort of doodle-dazzled tree :) !! I just wanted yall to know how often I think of you and the gift I have been given through all you all have done. I'm always grateful. I had a great Thanksgiving as I hope y'all did. My girls sure do love having some colder weather to frolic in. How is Miss Paisley doing? I've been thinking about her and hoping that she is learning to love life by being with your fami.y.
I hope for future doodle romps,
Hey! I hope your house doesnt feel too quiet or empty today, but I am glad your fosters got forever homes. Abby and Lootie are getting along so well. We go on walks and Abby and I cuddle a lot.
My boyfriend has invented a new game: DoodleBall. we go to the park with a fenced-in baseball field, he stands on home plate and throws the ball then tries to see how many bases he can run before Lootie tags him out (returns the ball to him). Abby and I sit and watch from the sidelines. It works well for all of us!
I love having a dog that likes to be brushed and cuddles like a big, heavy stuffed animal. Just pull her up on the couch with me and she stays where she falls. She actually snores! Its loud and hilarious. We are happy girls. Hope you and your family are doing well.
Hi Tracy! I can't wait to hear from you! I was really excited when I saw that Inky's profile was changed to 'PENDING'; though I will admit to a moment of worry that some imaginary perfect Texas family had shown up at your door! Inky has already taken residence in my heart and I can't wait to have her here! Our family is beyond thrilled, the kids are posting about Inky on FB to all of their friends (of course so am I !), and I just know she will be very happy here. I keep trying to tell Lilly about Inky, but she just gives me the cocked-head look with a waggling tail....
This site is amazing. I've been having fun reading about the amazing work you all do!
Please give Inky an extra hug for me - and warm wishes to all of your family - two and four legged!
This has been such a great week, its been so easy and natural! Abby took a couple naps with me yesterday while I was on the couch alternately reading and watching old episodes of Glee. Her incision and irritation spot are much, much better. Our vet put her BACK on antibiotics (poor thing, more anitbiotics?! I felt awful) and she isnt trying to lick or scratch anymore. She and Lootie Whistle are playing more as she gets settled in, best of all is her calming effect on Loot. She has that effect on me too.
If we are ever up in your neck of the woods I would love to have a reunion Doodle Romp! Likewise if yall are ever down this way. Tell your family that Abby sends lots of love and thanks to you all.
We are having a blast together! I will send you a copy of my Doodle-Kiss profile picture, its so great. I have been hugging and loving on Abby all day, she is just amazing. Everyone of my friends and family that have met her have been delighted, how could they not?
