are you interested in one of the DRC dogs or one of the dogs listed in the Regional listings?  the dogs in the regional listings are with other rescues or in shelters.  Instructions on how to submit an application for those dogs are in the petfinder listings.  If you are interested in a DRC dog, complete an application and indicate which dog you are intetested in.  Be aware that the 2 letter state abbreviation in front of each dog's name indicate the state in which the dog is being fostered.  DRC does not ship dogs so you would have to be able to drive the dog home.

Thanks for the friend request.

The key to finding a doodle to adopt is to have a list of websites that you check frequently.  I used to check almost a dozen websites everyday during my lunch hour until one day I saw Ollie listed on DRC's site and the rest is history.  Be sure to check DRC's adoptable doodles, the regional listings, petfinder, and your local shelters.

I just wanted to mention that doodles are not hypoallergenic dogs.  Some shed a lot, some shed a little, and some don't shed at all.  In terms of allergies and reactions it really just varies from dog to dog and person to person.

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in doodles, adoption, and DRC. Take a look around the site and be sure to read the Policies and Procedures:http://doodlerescue.org/notes/DRC_ADOPTION_POLICIES_AND_PROCEDURES and let me know if you have any questions.

You can also look at the Regional Listings section for a listing of other adoptable dogs in your area:http://doodlerescue.org/group/doodlesinneedinnorthamerica -- these dogs are at shelters or with other rescues so their adoption criteria may vary.

Here is a good article for potential first time doodle owners:http://doodlerescue.org/group/isadoodleforyou/forum/topics/things-to-consider-before-you-get-a-doodle
