I have had a life full of dogs from childhood till currently. I have rescued a dog and support rescue efforts.
Do you currently own a dog? If not, have you owned dogs as an adult, with vet records in your own name (not parents' names)?
We had a rescue dog which passed last year due to uncontrollable seizures. She was our only pet and a member of our family for the past ten years. She was rescued from an abusive puppy mill at 7 mos when she didn't have enough muscle to stand up. We now have a 16 month old Cockapoo, Lily Kabab, who is such a sweet girl. Only my husband and I live in our home, but do have dog loving grandkids that visit often. Our current dog loves other dogs and our grandkids but does consider herself one of them, which is just fine with us.
If you are looking to adopt a doodle, why have you chosen this mix?
We are considering another doodle because of the friendly outgoing personality, lighter shedding, and trainable. I would like to adopt a young dog that would be an additional member of our family and to go with me to visit kids and elders in care facilities and schools. One of my friends also had rescued a doodle puppy 15 years ago before they were doodles and she was a wonderful furry companion.
Have you read our adoption policies, located under the "About DRC" tab?
Are you aware that many doodles are not allergy friendly and that many of them do shed?
Are you aware that we do not adopt to homes with children under 10, and that we do not adopt dogs for service work?
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
Only as adoptive family. Yes I would consider volunteering with the organization.
