what a blessing you are to him! We feel the same way about our Bella, she was made for our Bailey, she is calm and submissive and just loves to play with him. I am so glad for him and your family that you drove to KY and rescued him@! keep up the doodle love and keep posting pictures!

I am so sorry, I just now saw your comment to me! I adopted my Bella from Kentucky Lab rescue. She had just been brought to KLR the day before, so hadn't been groomed, or anything. She was a pittiful thing, hiding in a cage, completely shut down and totally disconnected. We tried to connect with her for about an hour and then we decided that the puppies they had there would surely be adopted but Bella had little hope without us. She is about 2 years old and according to the KLR, was in a puppymill. She is housetrained, so I think at some point someone had her in a home. She has blossomed and we thank God each day that we chose her for our home! Bailey my 2 yr old golden doodle loves her, they play together so well.
the KLR is in the middle of no where, and the woman who runs it has a good heart for dogs. The dogs are kept in cages, not in a home environment. She had a bunch of labradoodles that we drove the 10 hours each way to see, otherwise, I wouldn't have gone that far for a dog! Hope that helps?
