Tell us about yourself and how we might help you:
Sent in an application for Linus and was wondering how I could call and talk with you.
Do you currently own a dog? If not, have you owned dogs as an adult, with vet records in your own name (not parents' names)?
Currently we have a Border Collie mix who is 9 years old and a cat.
Have you read our adoption policies, located under the "About DRC" tab?
We don't have a Doodle, yet. I had a standard poodle when I was a young girl at home with my parents. He was awesome and I love their intelligence and energy. So many dogs need loving homes - and we would be able to provide a good home - a Doodle would be a dog that we would love to welcome into our home.
Are you aware that many doodles are not allergy friendly and that many of them do shed?
Yes
Are you aware that we do not adopt to homes with children under 10, and that we do not adopt dogs for service work?
Yes
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
I am a member of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America - and so I am always available to assist with rescue/foster. However, we are looking to rescue a wonderful dog that is in need of a wonderful forever home. I realize that Doodles are not Berners - but I had a standard poodle when I was growing up and loved him so much. He was a great dog -

Hi Adele. If you are interested in volunteering or fostering also please read the volunteer section above. You could sign up to be part of the doodle train (pulling from shelters, transporting doodles to foster homes) and/or fill out the application for fostering.
Let me know if you still haven't gotten a response that your application was received.
These are some other ideas for finding a rescue doodle:
Click on the REGIONAL LISTINGS section which lists poodles and mixes from other organizations and shelters around the country -- click "Follow" right below where it says "Replies Are Closed For This Discussion" and you will get email notifications when new listings are added.
PETFINDER
(putting in all zip codes within your driving distance);
GOOGLE in shelters and humane societies within your driving range. Here is a helpful article on how to find a doodle on Petfinder and in shelters: http://doodlerescue.org/group/isadoodleforyou/forum/topics/looks-like-a-doodle-to

Welcome! Thank you for your interest in doodles, adoption, and DRC. Take a look around the site and be sure to read the Policies and Procedures:http://doodlerescue.org/notes/DRC_ADOPTION_POLICIES_AND_PROCEDURES and let me know if you have any questions.

You can also look at the Regional Listings section for a listing of other adoptable dogs in your area:http://doodlerescue.org/group/doodlesinneedinnorthamerica -- these dogs are at shelters or with other rescues so their adoption criteria may vary.

Here is a good article for potential first time doodle owners:http://doodlerescue.org/group/isadoodleforyou/forum/topics/things-to-consider-before-you-get-a-doodle
