Holly, there are other places to look also.  Petfinder is the big one, but Jeannine and Jacquie are pretty on top of that one. There is also adoptapet.com and our shelters post on petango.com.  So check those - sometimes you have to search with *oodle to see what comes up.  I love fostering too, though I don't get to do it much anymore.  But it is true that the right dog somehow does find you or sometimes you just stumble on it.

Thanks Kim :)  Trying to wait, but getting really hard :(  Our one foster (standard poodle) has been moved to her forever home :(  She is going to be trained to become part of Akron Children's Hospital Doggie Brigade, where they visit sick kids or kids getting surgery.

Hey Holly - I tell all applicants that with patience the right dog finds you - the same holds true for fostering.  :-)

Thanks Adrianne and Joanne :)  I have tried CL and have sent out the letter to several people, but nothing :(  So, I have not really been looking there anymore....I do once and a while.  I know Jacquie wants me to get a rehome, but it seems as if in Ohio......there is no one who want to rehome their doodles or want money rather than consider their doodles well being.

Just checking in :)  Wanting to know if there are any doodles in need of fostering?  Still waiting for my first foster from DRC :)  I can not wait :)  I have already fostered 2 other dogs from the other rescue group I am involved with, but would rather foster for DRC :)  Thanks for listening!!!!

Liz, Will be home Sunday, Nov.7th. I will be available until January 9th, then another 3 week hiatus!!
Kim, I'm with you - I love the pulling process - taking that sweet face and wagging tail from a shelter is the best!! Rehomes are sometimes harder since some people are parting with a beloved pet thru do fault of their own but they truely want to do what is right for them. Either way we are there to help.

Wow Krista, so well stated! So perfect, in fact, that I wouldn't add or subtract anything from what you said :). I just picked up a sad, scared little one yesterday...and so the journey begins again :)

You guys are not alone. I can't wait for a foster to arrive and since I've always been the one who pulled my fosters there's been exciting road trips as well.
