Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
Yep, that's right, she has a forever family. This morning Ginger and I met her new mom, Kathie, new dad, Mac and big brother, Laser (yellow lab). Her new family had just spent two days driving from MA to just north of Atlanta. Ginger is so lucky that her entire family is retired (even Laser is a retired service dog) and everyone will be together 24x7. Her 2 footer sibs are all grown with fur kids of their own so Laser and Ginger have their parents all to themselves. Ginger doesn't know yet, but she has her own pond to swim in and long Cape Cod beaches to walk and a Frisbee master to throw Frisbees her to catch.
This morning I met Kathie, Mac and Laser at their hotel just north of Atlanta (hey after their driving 2 days to get here, the last thing I wanted them to endure was Atlanta Monday morning traffic). We all sat in their room (Kathie, Laser, Ginger and I on the floor) and chatted for almost a hour. During that time Laser and Ginger did a good bit of sniffing and play bowing. After a bit Ginger was perfectly happy to sit between Kathie and I so she could obtain maximum petting opportunities.
Kathie confided in me that Ginger had a new pink collar with her name embroidered waiting for her at home. Home, what a great sounding word; and now Miss Ginger-Gingsey-Ginge has her forever one.

Happy Tails to you, Ginger, may you live happily ever after with your wonderful new family! Nina, thank you so much for all you've done to help Ginger find her way home.
Congratulations Ginger! I am so happy for you and your new family. I know that you had to wait a bit until the right forever family came along but from reading this I think it was well worth it:) Thank you for fostering this gal and so glad she is on her way home!
Oh Nina I'm so happy for Ginger/her new family/and for you. Actually the Cape Cod beach, pond and walks sounded pretty good for me, too. Pictures please! How great of them to drive all that way. Ginger really landed in "pig slop" didn't she? Congrats all the way around.
I am so thrilled for Ginger and her new family! ......Such a special girl who really needed that extra special family. Thank you so much Nina for everything that you do for us and for your foster doodles.....How many is it now that you and Phil have fostered?.....Was it Jax who was your first way back in 09?
Jacquie I was counting up the number of fosters since our first one, Jax in November of 09. Lexie and Ginger were fosters 18 & 19 for us. And you know each time one of them joins their forever families they always take a little piece of my heart with them. But they have each left my life that much richer for knowing them.
Ginger was very patient, she knew you would only choose the best family for her - and she was right! Have fun with Laser, Ginger. Thank you Nina, you knew exactly what Ginger needed and you found the right family to give that to her.
I am so happy for sweet Ginger...she reminds me so much of my Daisy! I'm glad we found her forever home...sounds like she is really going to have the life now! Thank you Nina for everything thing you do for us and taking care of these sweet doodles until we find the perfect match!
This is just the best news.
Tales like this make my heart happy!
Wonderful job, Nina. You take on some of the biggest challenges in our fine work and help some of the sickest deserving doodles find their way to a wonderful life. Hurray for Ginger and her new family!!!!
