PLEASE JOIN US IN EXPRESSING OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES TO OUR OWN JOANNE & ROGER P WHO LOST THEIR BELOVED STARLIT ON MONDAY

Please join us in extending our heartfelt sympathies to Joanne and Roger Priest who lost their beloved Starlit ( formerly NJ-Chloe) suddenly and without warning this past Monday.

Starlit was a beautiful 10 week old Old English Sheepdog/Poodle mix puppy who was rescued from an Amish puppy mill in 2009.

She was an adorable, loveable and special girl and we were thrilled she found a forever home with Joanne and Roger in early 2010. Starlit grew to be very big girl! Despite her size and her fear issues, she was literally Joanne and Roger's baby and she had a wonderful home and life in OH along with big brother Spud who became Starlit's constant companion.

Monday morning Joanne awoke to find Starlit lying on her bed unresponsive and she and Roger rushed her to the vet.

Sadly the vet did not have good news.

Apparently poor Starlit had suffered an aneurysm, possibly from a brain tumor and nothing could be done to save her.

She passed peacefully in Joanne and Roger's arms later that afternoon.

I spoke to Joanne this morning and though she sounds good I can tell that she is just being strong.  I know that the family is just devastated.

If you have a moment please reach out to Joanne. A link to her Doodle Kisses discussion about Starlit is below.

Rest in peace sweet Starlit.

Though your time here was far too short, it was filled with the love of your amazing family who will miss you always.

Til we meet again at the Rainbow Bridge......

I have 8 others that are just as cute--you could die from cuteness! I will be putting pics on my blog on DK soon.

I can't wait.  How exciting to have delivered 9 wee ones.  I think that I would love to be able to do that, at some point in my life.  The absolute wonder of seeing new life coming into this world.

I am glad I gave you a reason to smile Joanne! Yes, it is a star kiss.

Ginny, what a lovely tribute this pup will carry.

And DRC, I had not contributed in memory of before = what a lovely 'receipt' I received

I am so sorry to hear of this. Starlit was beautiful and I am sure she was loved deeply. I will give my Dugan an extra big hug when I get home this evening.

Dear Joanne

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss of Starlit. I know that you worked very hard with her to help her be all she could be and overcome her initial difficult start and trauma in the puppymill. You and Roger are wonderful dog owners, Spud and Starlit are very lucky to have you.
