NOW, THE GIFT OF HOPE FOR HOMELESS  DOODLES MEANS SO MUCH MORE…

We've all seen and read DRC volunteer's blogs, posts, discussions and updates on the many rescue doodles that find their way into our program…one heartbreak  turned “Happy Tale” after another. Every day Doodles of all ages, colors, sizes and coat types are being saved from situations that literally break our hearts as rescuers. Many dogs have endured unimaginable horrors.  Many are sick…very sick.  Many are scared, heartbroken or have lost hope and/or the ability to trust humans.

But they are Doodles with inspiring spirits. All these dogs hope for is safe haven where the pain will stop and the healing of broken hearts, shattered spirits and in many cases, ravaged bodies can begin.

Knowing that these dogs with issues are most in-need of help, DRC has been taking in “hardship doodles” since the very beginning. The generous and unwavering support of our donors, friends and colleagues has made and continues to make this possible. Due to the current state of the economy, the increase of doodles in need, and the significant increase in vetting expenses, DRC is relying on the generosity of our friends and supporters now more than ever.

Anyone who donates $150 or more to DRC will automatically receive an official

DRC Paw Print pendant necklace.

Handcrafted in sterling silver with a beautiful Swarovski crystal  in the center, each paw print pendant and 18 inch sterling silver chain comes in a velvet and satin box wrapped in paw print paper.  It’s a perfect gift for any animal lover and our little way of saying "thank you" for your support.

We hope that you will wear your DRC Paw Print pendant proudly knowing that it celebrates your commitment to doodle rescue and your generous gift to doodles in need everywhere.

Here are a few pictures of some of the DRC gang (Adrianne, Jacquie, Jeannine) sporting the necklace….

Thank you for the added incentive to donate.  I can't wait to receive my necklace. I will wear it proudly.

I got my bling today and can't wait to wear it.  It is so pretty.  Thank you DRC.

Well take a picture of yourself wearing it girlfriend!..:  )

We are so grateful to have you as part of our family Nance........

Thanks.  I will think about the picture.... I would rather be the one taking the pics!  Maybe I can get my poor long-suffering hubby to pose. teehee

I just got my necklace too.....I love it!

We are happy to announce that due to popular demand, we are extending our DRC "Paws 4 the Cause" Paw Print Bling offer into 2012!

Hooray.  I love mine and I am glad even more people will get the chance to get one.

Just one question, I would get one but need to know if there is any nickel in the silver? I am VERY allergic to contact with nickel.

They are sterling silver not silver plated...so I'm sure there is no nickel in them.  But I will contact our vendor to make sure!

Jeannine, even sterling silver can have a small amount of nickel in it because as a metal, silver is very soft. The nickel is added for strength. I just have to know before I buy.

Adrea, my son is also allergic to nickel (when he was little he had to eat using only the plastic coated silverware) so I know what you mean. He usually can't wear sterling either.   Since this necklace is a reward for a donation of one hundred dollars or more and you can't wear it, I'll bet you can make a dog-loving friend  very happy with it for a gift.

Very true, and you're right it's for donation.
