Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
I just wanted to post this BIG FYI to all of our fosters, volunteers and supporters, so I could post a link to this discussion on Facebook. The reason I am posting the link to this discussion on Facebook is to purposely direct everyone here to the DRC website, as a means to demonstrate the power of the Internet, how our website can be and should be utilized as a tool for exposing your DRC fosters and all DRC adoptable doodles to the world, via cross-posting links on other web-based social media sites such as Facebook.
First things first. If you happen to be a DRC volunteer who is active on Facebook, but you have yet to sign up on our official DRC website at doodlerescue.org and create a personal page for yourself, then you are missing out on an incredible opportunity.
Years ago, before Facebook took over the World as THE social media center of the universe, where literally every human being on the planet with a computer, smart phone and Internet access participates, the DRC website was purposely set up in social media format so volunteers, applicants, adopters, rescuers, doodle owners and enthusiasts could easily participate and communicate with each other all over the world under one virtual umbrella.
Well, five years and 1400 rescued doodles later, It has proven to be a very successful formula for DRC and for the animal welfare community as a whole. In fact, we are quite proud to be recognized as the first rescue organization in history to utilize the Internet and social media in this capacity. But that's another story.......lol
Again, the point of this discussion and the reason for it being posted here on the DRC website, is to use it as an example and illustrate by posting a link to this discussion on Facebook, the many ways this website can be utilized to promote DRC adoptable doodles and DRC rescue activity within our DRC Facebook Group, on our DRC Facebook Page, and on other web-based social media.
It's literally as easy as 1,2,3.
If you haven't done so already, please join our website....You have the freedom to create your very own personal page, post your own photos of your own doodles as well as your foster doodles, post present information about yourself and your doodles, your success stories, why you chose to be a "doodlephile" and a DRC volunteer. Personal contact info is not viewable by the public and is kept private. You even have a privacy option that restricts anyone who is not your "friend" on our site, from viewing your page.
Most importantly, when you become a DRC website member, you have access to our blog and discussion medium where you can include information, photos, stories about your foster doodle and document their progress while in your care. All posted in one place that automatically generates a copy and paste-able "link" that can be cross-posted to your Facebook page, within our DRC Facebook group, to other Facebook doodle groups, and other social media websites throughout the Internet.
To further illustrate the way our website and Facebook can be utilized, I am going to use the amazing Melvilles as examples; Colin Melville being the foster dog blog aficionado and Facebook crossposter of all time.

By utilizing this tool, you can expose your foster doodle, DRC and our mission to a larger audience which of course means more potential applicants, adopters, volunteers, supporters and a greater opportunity to educate the masses about these dogs and rescue.
Please feel free to reach out to us if you need any assistance with navigation on our website, or need any assistance with photo uploads, link copying, cross posting etc.
And please let us know your thoughts.
Thanks so very much for taking the time to read this and for all that each and every one of you do for DRC and doodles in need!
