Tell us about yourself and how we might help you:: My home is in Santa Maria, CA but I work 200 miles north in San Jose. I rent a house in Redwood City that I stay in when in San Jose. My husband is retired so there is always someone home in Santa Maria. I would like to get involved in rescue before adopting. Both houses have 6ft fences. The house in Redwood City does have a pool. I would like to help out with transport and fostering. My employer is piloting a new policy to all employees to bring dogs to work. If this goes through I would likely adopt a dog from foster or rescue. I am philosophically opposed to buying from a breeder, I will rescue and do the work to make it successful.

Do you currently own a dog? If not, have you owned dogs as an adult, with vet records in your own name (not parents' names)?: I don't have any pets; just adult kids. :)

If you are looking to adopt a doodle, why have you chosen this mix?: I have developed allergies to dogs so am looking into breeds that are better suited for allergy sufferers.

Are you aware that many doodles are not allergy friendly and that many of them do shed?: Yes, but many are allergy friendly.

Are you aware that we do not adopt to homes with children under 10, and that we do not adopt dogs for service work?: N/A to my situation - my kids are 30+

Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?: Yes. My sister was a founder/officer of Rat Terrier rescue. Because of my living situation I used to do a fair amount of transport, and a few home checks, for the rescue which also involved short term fosters. My sister is an animal pro - dogs, horses you name it; I will only adopt if she helps me to make sure I am successful with any dog I adopt. She has 3 right now that she has adopted from rescue - they are wonderful dogs that were unhomeable. Each of them has a person, I am one of her dog's person. Nellie (Nellie belly) loves me and goes crazy when I visit although she generally doesn't like people and was adopted out a couple times and came back so became my sisters forever dog.
