Hi Michele, Sorry but we are leaving tomorrow for the holiday and won't be back until Dec 1st. Does that help at all? We typically don't travel, but since my dog passed, I just can't be in the house for the holidays.
I never heard anything back on my application and I submitted over 2 weeks ago, is that normal?
Hi Michele. I forgot to mention Luna and cats. At first she left them alone, but yesterday when I had my cat next to me on the couch, she really wanted to get him and stared at him like a predator. And she chases them ,barks and growls at them.
Hi there and thanks for your email. I would love to help foster but I picked up a new litter of tiny pups yesterday. Finished fostering another litter last week but they had an urgent need for someone to take these very young pups without a Mom. I will have them for 2-4 weeks to socialize them, pad train and fatten them up. Keep in touch though as I am always open to litters. Let me know if you want to do a home visit-we have a great set-up!
Michele! I am newish to this website and I hope it is ok to ask you this. I saw your post on Luna in Montreal. I tried emailing the rescue to get more information, but I only got a generic response. I am wondering if you have any more information on this sweet girl? I have questions before filling out an application.
We want to find a female white/cream Labradoodle so bad, I have severe allergies and I want a bigger dog. We have a 7 year old daughter and we even had our girls dog bed ready... Please help if possible. Thanks so much, Susan Apple Valley, CA
Thanks for the incouragement Michele! Found a just listed goldendoodle on Petfinder today. Went to the details and it is with the Atlanta Golden Rescue. They say they already have several "families" waiting for a doodle. Why do they bother posting these dogs that are pre-adopted???
Hey Michele, I saw the black boy doodle who is listed as urgent in Beverly Hills. Do we have someone to pull him? I would hate to see him euthanized! If we can get him to Texas, I have a long list of potential adopters...and I can foster :)
Hi Michele! Thanks for the friend request! I notified Karen (of Karen and Jack) on Monday about the dog in Coos Bay. She was unsure that it was a doodle but said she would send the info to Jacquie. I did not hear anything back from anyone except Joanne (of Spud and Starlit) because I had sent her info on the doodle because she looked so much like Starlit.
Joanne asked me to contact Adrianne which I did but my note got overlooked I think and it was another day before she contacted me. I explained the situation and then didn't hear anything for another day. I think that Joanne also wrote at that time to alert Adrianne to the dog. So this morning (now 4 days later) Adrianne said she would contact you and asked if I could foster for a couple days if need be until you could find a permanent foster arrangement.
Not being a member of DRC, I wasn't aware of the proper channels for this type of situation which was probably instrumental in slowing things down. If something like this occurs in the future should I contact you first?
And hopefully Adrianne let you know that the doodle in question was adopted from the shelter this morning. :)
Marble Falls is about 3 1/2 hours South of me...almost in Austin. If a volunteer that lives closer would grab her, I'd surely find room to foster :). I'm not sure when I could go and pull her due to work and getting Paisley and Fudge spayed on Thursday.
I do have Fudge...who was Margo at the Irving Shelter here in Texas. I love her too! She is a wild woman and we are trying to teach her some manners. I see her as a diamond in the rough :). I haven't blogged about her yet...trying to decide if she may take up permanent residence with us :).
