Meet Sierra - one of the Fab Four now hanging out in Michigan!- ADOPTED!

Sierra (fka Guera) was rescued from a hoarding situation in Missouri along with her three buddies (Paluche/Paco, Chaparro/Chico and Munica/Mona).  All four doodles were living with several other dogs before being surrendered to the shelter in St Joe, Missouri.

With the help of several wonderful DRC volunteers, each of the Fab Four made their way to their foster homes where they will get some R&R, vet care and start to learn what it is like to be part of a typical family.  First order of business is learning English since their original home was Spanish speaking and the dogs learned only Spanish.

Sierra made the trip from Missouri to Michigan like a seasoned traveler - hardly a peep out of her during each leg of the journey.  She met her foster brothers - Jake, Cloud and Clifford - like the shy lady she is but was soon trying to engage them in playtime.  It seems the language of Dood is not bound by English or Spanish!

As Sierra settles in and becomes comfortable we will update her blog but for now - know she is a sweet 2.5 year old girl and we’ll let the pictures start her story…..

Wow...we adopted a dog that didn't speak English years ago. He was at a pound in ft Lauderdale tied to a tree at a red light! When my husband saw him he said he was blind! And, upon his first vet appointment it was true. He was beautiful, but really weak. As he got stronger we realized that he didn't speak English!!!! Lol..... That was years ago.
