Meet Casper! A 20 month old labradoodle available for adoption in Jacksonville, FL. He was an owner surrender to DRC because he was "too much". Turns out poor Casper was spending most of his day stuck in a crate and therefore was a bit out of control when he was out of his crate-- wouldn't you be? Now that he has been at his foster home he has finally settled and every day he gets better and better! His foster mom says he is extremely loving! He has not been crated since his foster mom is home most of the time but even when she leaves him alone, he has been doing better and better :) Now that he is getting daily walks and going to the dog park a couple times a week his foster mom says Casper is just your typical doodle and not "too much".

He is extremely smart and has already learned to wait by the door when he needs to go potty. He LOVES to swim and play with dogs of any size. He is a big boy at 80lbs (could loose another 5 lbs) but a cuddlebug. He walks well on the leash if you use an easy walk harness. He is treat motivated for training.

He came completely matted so we had to shave him down but once his hair grows back he's going to be absolutely gorgeous. We have no idea what generation he is but we think at the very least a 2nd generation labradoodle since he barely sheds.

We would love for Casper to go home with a family where someone is home most of the day. If he could have a doggie friend it would be great but a trip to the dog park where he can run around with friends is also ok.

Beautiful Big Boy.  I am sure he would be too much for some people, but he would be just right for many others.  the DRC will pick the perfect home for him I am sure.

He would be a perfect playmate weight wise for Lettie but unfortunately she already has 2 brothers and a very little house.  I agree tho A good doodle is a tired doodle.  We walk 3x a day for at least 20 minutes each walk just to help the energy level.  Good luck on your forever home Casper.
