Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
Friday (7.15.16) was the most difficult day of my life so far, and I'm 43. Our goldendoodle Jasmine presented ill on Thursday night (not eating, labored breathing, lethargic).
Friday morning we took her to the vet ER where it was found that she had hemangiosarcoma with a tumor on her spleen that was bleeding into her abdomen and a tumor on her heart that was bleeding into the sac around her heart. It was already metastatic and nothing could be done - at all. She was only 8 and we had to say good bye. (Note - There were NO previous symptoms).
The hospital grounds were lovely and the day was sunny and breezy so we went outside on her blanket, spent hours with her and then the doctor came out to help her drift into her forever sleep. She was literally my second child. My husband, daughter and I are devastated.
I found this website in the hopes of adopting another doodle in the future, when the time is right for our family. We rescued our Jasmine from a divorce situation. I hope to find another doodle that is in need of rescue, however, it seems to me that there aren't many out there for adoption and I think it's because of how wonderful they are. Thanks for reading our little story.
