Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
I adopted my first Doodle from DRC today!
Thanks to Kim Keeling and Thanks to Diane Marra for all the wonderful help and allowing Cory and I to meet Harvey at Diane's home.
Harvey has been a ball of energy all day. He started chasing a ball the moment he got here and hasn't stopped all day. My Little one Shadow (Jack Russel / Poodle) has been playing ball with Harvey also and the game does turn into Shadow playing keep away :o).

Thanks Karen I spent time brushing him out and getting all the knots out. Spent alot of time doing the ears since he had alot of matting on the ends. I really like the orange colored coat on him makes him stand out and he wears it proud :0).
My Jack is just like that, too.
Harvey's coat really looks beautiful against that snowy background!
Harvey looks very happy!
LOL! A doodle sofa, I love it!
It really is exciting to discover the wonderful traits of your rescue over time. How wonderful to discover that not only is Harvey good when left alone, but that he is a role model for the good behavior you would like Shadow to copy. Hooray!
Harvey has been a pleasure for the last two weeks. Shadow has really enjoyed his company and they have been having alot of fun playing in their new fenced in yard. I am so grateful for Harvey letting me come into his life. The first few days with Harvey I didnt know how he would be so whenever I left my house I would put Harvey and Shadow in cages until I returned. I used to have to put Shadow in a cage because the moment I left him in the house alone who knew what he would destroy but one thing was for certain the contents of my kitchen trash can would be all over my house. I decided after a a few days I would attempt leaving both of them out of their cages for small amounts of time when I left my house. I started with leaving them out while I drove Cory (my Son) to his school. I was surprised to find when I returned that with Harvey there to keep Shadow occupied I had no troubles or messes. I gradually increased the time away and their time out of the cage and to my surprise I never had any issues minus a few of their toys being de-stuffed :0). I have found now that I dont need to put them in cages at all and I have actually folded up the cages and put them away. Thanks to Harvey he taught Shadow it was better to chew your own toys then his daddy's table :0)
