Labradoodle Rescue & Goldendoodle Rescue
I think it's amazing how quickly a dog can fill your home and your heart with love. We haven't had this girl for very long, and not only are the humans infatuated, but Mac and Lucy are as well.
Vanessa is silly, sweet, playful and cuddly. She is friendly and fun. She now gets excited when it's time to get in the car because we usually end up on some sort of adventure. She is learning, however slowly, the value of food treats. She sits well, and, though rarely, stays.
For her potty training, she is more interested in hearing the loud, joyful praise and getting hugs after she's done what she's supposed to. She looks to humans for approval. She plays with Mac and Lucy the way dogs are supposed to play, though she is still learning that since Lucy is so much smaller, she needs to be gentle. She also likes to tease the humans. Knowing full well that it's wrong, she will pick up something that doesn't belong to her - a pillow, a sock, whatever is lying around. She looks us in the eye, challenging us to catch her. When she's running with the others through the house, she often wipes out on the kitchen floor (wood) because she is still a puppy, clumsy as she should be. She then settles quickly after play.
Van spent some quality time with our groomer yesterday and she looks incredibly beautiful! Her coat looks like velvet - so shiny and soft.
We're ready to leave on a longer-than-normal roadtrip today. Here's hoping she does well riding in the car for so long!!
