Nessie (aka Lucy) joined our family in 2014, when she was 8, nearly 9 YO.  Nessie just passed away, a month or so shy of her 16th birthday.  We miss her so much--she was my walking buddy, comforter, calm presence for our son with autism and much more.  As we would always tell her--our best dog EVER.
