Sadie was purchased from a breeder.
Molly was a rescue through the DRC.

I have had dogs for about 30 yrs, German Shepherds and GSD mixes. I usually had 2 and sometimes 3 at one time. My job required me to travel a lot and worked long hours so I didn't have any dogs in the recent years. I was able to retire early and getting another dog was on the of my list of things to do.

Although I loved the German Shepherds and always had well adjusted, friendly dogs, my homeowners insurance now restricts certain breeds, GSD's being one, so I started looking researching other breeds to see what I thought would fit best for me. I found the Doodles.

I liked what I was reading about them and knew some information on the Standard Poodle and Labrador and thought it would be a great choice. I found a reputable breeder, that tests potential breeding pairs for any health issues and chooses dogs with great personalities. I got my first doodle, Sadie from her.

I had planned on getting a 2nd doodle once Sadie was about 2 yrs old and figured I would go back to the same breeder or check into getting a rescue, since I've seen and heard a lot about them. As Sadie's 2nd birthday was approaching, I started checking petfinder and rescues to see if there was a dog available that would fit in here with me and Sadie.

We found Molly, she and Sadie got along great, they are great playmates. The match was made and we couldn't be happier. Molly found her forever home here with Sadie and me.
