Welcome! Thank you for your interest in doodles, adoption, and DRC. Take a look around the site and be sure to read the Policies and Procedures:http://doodlerescue.org/notes/DRC_ADOPTION_POLICIES_AND_PROCEDURES and let me know if you have any questions.  Be aware that DRC does not adopt out to families with children under the age of 10.

You can also look at the Regional Listings section for a listing of other adoptable dogs in your area:http://doodlerescue.org/group/doodlesinneedinnorthamerica -- these dogs are at shelters or with other rescues so their adoption criteria may vary.

Here is a good article for potential first time doodle owners:http://doodlerescue.org/group/isadoodleforyou/forum/topics/things-to-consider-before-you-get-a-doodle

Please keep in mind that some doodles do shed and even the non-shedding ones can cause allergic reactions in some people.  If allergies are an issue, you may want to consider a purebred poodle.  One of the main reasons that doodles find themselves in shelters/resuces is due to allergies.
