Will be interested in adopting a 'doodle' sometime after Oct of this year (2012). Have travel plans in Jun and Oct and would be looking for a Nov/Dec placement. Retired and living in a 55+ community (Solivita) in central FL.
Tell us about your dog(s) and/or other pets that you have:
Have owned mulitple dogs, the last being a female german shepard named Heidi and cats, the last being a male named Ichabod.
Have you read our adoption policies?
Love the temperment, demeanor and characteristics of the breed, have friends and relatives who own both labordoodles and goldendoodles.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
Prefer the concept of rescue/adoption and the ability to adopt a slightly older, semi-trained/trained youngster or adult.

Welcome Michael.  Thank you for your interested in DRC and adoption.  Take a look around the site and be sure to read the DRC Policies and Procedures http://doodlerescue.org/notes/DRC_ADOPTION_POLICIES_AND_PROCEDURES and let me know if you have any questions.  I have 2 doodles and 1 was adopted through DRC so I would be happy to help.

Welcome! Be sure to read the link to DRC ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. http://doodlerescue.org/notes/DRC_ADOPTION_POLICIES_AND_PROCEDURES
You can fill out an application (form at the top of the page), check the Adoptable Pets on our home page. When you are looking at the Adoptable Pet pictures, notice that the two letters in front of the dog’s name mean the state they are being fostered in. While the DRC allows out of state applicants they cannot transport the rescues and will not let them fly, so you need to be within driving distance of the foster. Also click on the Doodles in Need section, and check Petfinder (putting in all zip codes within driving distance), and google in shelters and humane societies within your driving range. Check back often.
welcome to spring
