Where are you located?
Raynham, MA 02767
Tell us about yourself and how we might help you:
My husband, Roy Higgins, and I moved from Maine to Raynham 1 year ago. We bought a house where my sister-in-law, Beverley Higgins lives downstairs. She has a dog, Max who is a cockerpoo. We are quite settled now and are very interested in getting a dog. We would prefer to adopt a rescue dog and just love doodles!
Tell us about your dog(s) and/or other pets that you have:
Bev's dog is a med sized cocker-poo and he loves to play with other dogs. When we get our new dog, they will, hopefully, become best of friends.
If you are looking to adopt a doodle, why have you chosen this mix?
We have looked into many breeds, but this one seems to fit into our life. They are fairly big...I want a dog I can take walking and hiking with me. They have a gentle disposition. They don't shed much.
Have you read our adoption policies?
Are you aware that many doodles are not allergy friendly and that many of them do shed?
Are you aware that we do not adopt to homes with children under 10, and that we do not adopt dogs for service work?
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
We are retired. Honestly haven't thought about volunteering for your rescue. If you send me info about it, I will review it and consider it.

Thanks for responding, Mary.  If you haven't filled out an adoption application, here is a link:   The application doesn’t obligate you in any way but it opens the lines of communication with the adoption coordinator.  Quite often, a new dog who comes into the program is adopted before he/she is ever listed, because our adoption coordinator is aware of a good approved applicant who would be a good match for that dog. However once you have an approved application on file, if you see a dog under the DRC’s care that you feel would be a good fit for your family, an e-mail can be sent to: stating that there is an application on file and you would like to be considered for (name of dog).

One of our requirements is that you must have owned a dog before with vet records in your name. Would this be your first dog?
