You can also look at the Regional Listings section for a listing of other adoptable dogs in your area:http://doodlerescue.org/group/doodlesinneedinnorthamerica -- these dogs are at shelters or with other rescues so their adoption criteria may vary.
Welcome! Be sure to read the link to DRC ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. http://doodlerescue.org/notes/DRC_ADOPTION_POLICIES_AND_PROCEDURES before completing the adoption application (link at the top of the page) Check the OUR ADOPTABLE DOODLES section. When you are looking at the pictures, notice that the two letters in front of the dog’s name mean the state they are being fostered in. While the DRC allows out of state applicants, they cannot transport the rescues and will not let them fly, so you need to be within driving distance of the foster.
Other ideas to find a rescue doodle: Click on the REGIONAL LISTINGS section for doodles with other organizations, PETFINDER (putting in all zip codes within driving distance); GOOGLE in shelters and humane societies within your driving range.
