We (my husband and 18 y/o daughter) will be looking for another doodle to call our own. Our beloved giant schnoodle, Carmen, is suffering from acute lymphoblastic leukemia. With heavy hearts my family and I are trying to get used to the reality that her time is very limited. Our hearts are wide open to another dog!
Tell us about your dog(s) and/or other pets that you have:
Other than 2 goldfish (rescues) Carmen is our only pet. She was rescued from a barn where she was weaning 14 puppies. She was rescued by her foster mom, Cindy, who took her home, got rid of the parasites, fattened her up and put her on petfinder.com where we found the ad. We were immediately smitten with her and traveled 12 hrs round trip to get her from Cindy and bring her to her forever home. She has enhanced our lives beyond words. She is currently 7 1/2 yrs old
Have you read our adoption policies?
We find doodles to be very nice dogs. We have owned 2 standard poodles in the past who lived to very old age and the doodle is an enhanced poodle.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
Our choice would be to rescue a doodle that needs a home. We don't want to add to the overpopulation of unwanted pets.

I would fill out the application and every time you see a dog you think might be right for you, I would send an e-mail telling them you have an application on file and would like them to consider you for xxx. I would also keep checking those humane society web sites. You might see a doodle before anyone else does!
