My wife Erin and I have a grown daughter and 13 and 11 year teenagers. Our family also consists of two 7 year old half brother Goldendoodles and a rescue 7 year old Labradoodle sister.
As our doodles get older I worry about health issues and I know that we will always have one of these awesome dogs as a part of our family. I hope i can ask and get advice from others as our kids all get older.
Tell us about your dog(s) and/or other pets that you have:
Murphy was our first doodle and is probably the best friend Ive ever had. He is the oldest by about9 months and is very calm and laid back.
Angus has calmed down in his older years he is still the biggest puppy in the house though.
Nelly was a "rescue" you could say. A friend approached us about helping find a home for a friends labradoodle so we temporarily took Nelly in and every one got along great. Time went by and we weren't going to let her go to the shelter so 5 years later she is still part of our big happy family.
If you are looking to adopt a doodle, why have you chosen this mix?
Not at this time
Have you read our adoption policies?
Are you aware that many doodles are not allergy friendly and that many of them do shed?
Are you aware that we do not adopt to homes with children under 10, and that we do not adopt dogs for service work?
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
We have been caring for a labradoodle rescue for 5 years.
