Julia’s Journey!

Sweet Julia and adorable Webster had a three-leg journey to Indianapolis a week ago Tuesday.  Our favorite and always willing to transport Kyoko Henson picked up three puppies from a puppy mill in northern Ohio, Vanessa went to Pittsburgh, Julia and Webster continued their the journey to Indianapolis via the super incredible Sue Cooper.  Sue and I met in Springfield, OH at 10:30 pm…Webster of course pooped in his crate in Sue’s car…I don’t know how she made the three…

I’ve been looking for love in all the wrong places…I was on the street for a while, before I ended up in a place called a shelter. I got food and water there but not much in the love department.

My foster mom keeps talking about this place called a forever home. Not sure what that means, but I hope it means food, lots of love and playtime. Did I mention I love to give kisses so this forever home place better have somebody I can kiss.

Since being sprung from the shelter, I’ve… Continue

Thanks, it's wonderful to find this loving and caring communinity of support for doodles. We are hoping and praying to be a forever home for our new Barley boy who is just up the street and we already feel like he is part of our family as he won my heart at first lick.. All my best. Dolly Ianni

Just a quick update on Guiness.  He is now taller than Chili and has filled out nicely.  He and Chili remain joined at the hip.  It's so funny at the dog park.  If Chili thinks another dog is getting too agressive or rough with Guiness, he'll get between them and "herd" the other dog far away.  The update on me is that I now spend half my life cleaning nose prints off my glasses, and wouldn't have it any other way.

Hi Jeannine,

I found my way back here because I saw a doodle I wanted to adopt at a shelter in

Cookeville, TN (about 60 miles from me). When I phoned them at 9:30 this morning to tell them I would be coming to get him when they opened at noon, they told me he was being rescued by Doodle Rescue on Friday. I immediately tried to sign in to Doodle Rescue site but wasn't recognized.  I'll be updating all my information and submitting applications so I can help with rescue here in middle TN. Thanks for the welcome!

Jeannine, how did everything go with Cash (from Cookeville, TN)? I trust everything went well with the flight?
Hope you are having a great week....counting down the days til Thanksgiving and hoping the DRC doesn't get a rush of doodles in shelters this holiday season. It has been weighing heavily on my mind.

Rocco is a male, black labradoodle; I just picked him up yesterday and am in love already. He is a big boy, but so sweet! I use a gentle leader collar; and you would think I have had him all his life...he just walks right next to me. He is not a barker and a quick learner. He will need space, because of his size. But will make some family a wonderful pet.

Thank you for your kind thoughts! I'm very excited to meet her finally! Hopefully she will look as happy as your doodles!
