I am retired from Wall Street, and I care full time for my elderly Mom with Alzheimer's.

Do you currently own a dog? If not, have you owned dogs as an adult, with vet records in your own name (not parents' names)?

I have a five year old mini goldendoodle, who is the best thing that ever happened to me. He is also a wonderful therapy dog for my Mom. He is her grand dog.

Beau is from Doodlequest, in Kentucky. I chose a doodle because my friend Bill James in Wisconsin bought Beau's half sister, and when I saw her picture, I was intrigued. I had always loved golden retrievers, but did not want the shedding. When he raved so about the breed, and then I saw Beau's puppy photo, I was a goner!

Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?

I am friendly with Adrianne Matzkin and have admired her commitment and the pleasure that she gets from helping the doodle community. Although it is a full time job taking care of my Mom, I have wanted to partake in the effort for a while. Just recently I was forwarded a photo which touched my heart. I saw M-2 at the Portsmouth, Ohio pound and I had to speak up. He stole my heart just like my Beau did five years ago, and I think Beau would love to have a brother.
