Hello! My partner Ergun and I (Ekin) are interested in adding a doodle to our family. Both Ergun and I are in our mid-30s. Starting from July 2022, I will be working at Queen's University as an assistant professor. My partner Ergun is a mechanical engineer, and works at an automation company. The third member of our family is Cooper, who is a 3.5 year-old male (neutered) goldendoodle.
Do you currently own a dog? If not, have you owned dogs as an adult, with vet records in your own name (not parents' names)?
Yes. We have a 3.5 year-old goldendoodle named Cooper. He is a sweet and gentle boy, who loves puppies and other doodles, but can be shy with new people at first. He has taught us a lot about canine psychology and behaviour, as well as body language.
If you are looking to adopt a doodle, why have you chosen this mix?
We have always adored poodles and poodle mixes for their intelligence and cuteness and having Cooper has amplified our love for doodles. He also feels most comfortable and is most playful with other doodles, so that is also a key factor for choosing this mix.
Have you read our adoption policies, located under the "About DRC" tab?
Yes, we have.
Are you aware that many doodles are not allergy friendly and that many of them do shed?
Yes, we are.
Are you aware that we do not adopt to homes with children under 10, and that we do not adopt dogs for service work?
Yes, we are aware. We do not have any children.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
I am not. I would be interested in volunteering with your rescue program if there is a branch in Kingston, Ontario area, or if you have any online / remote-work opportunities.
You need to be a member of Doodle Rescue Collective Inc. to add comments!
