Me and my friend (who are retired) are looking for a dog companion to love and cherish. We both have the time and love to give to a doodle like TX-Zoey. We don't have a fenced in yard but, we both love to walk and we live in a wonderful dog friendly community with lots of green to walk her with a leash instead of letting her out in a fenced in yard by herself. To me spending time walking with her would be more important then a fenced in yard.
Tell us about your dog(s) and/or other pets that you have:
We have never had a doodle but, his daughter does and she is a great dog. Between us we have had german shepherds and snauzers in our lifetimes.
Have you read our adoption policies?
Don't have a doodle but my friends daughter does. She is the sweetest dog I have ever met and she doesn't shed. We have the money to take care of her and get her groomed when necessary.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
No. I am here because The Wet Nose Rescue site ( where my grandson rescued a puppy from). When I put in type of dog (golden doodle) it lead me to your site.

Dolores - questions like these really need to be directed to the info or adoption email addresses where you submit your application. A lot of the questions you may have can be answered by reading the adoption policies whic does address the commercial transport of our doodles.
Dolores, the two letters in front of the dog's name are the state abbreviation so Zoey is in Texas.
Be sure to fill out an application (form at the top of the page), click on the Doodles in Need section, check Petfinder (putting in all zip codes within driving distance), and google in shelters and humane societies within your driving range. Check back often.
Dolores - welcome to DRC. Keep in mind the location of the doodle when you are considering adoption. Our dogs are fostered throughout the U.S. in loving families and while we do allow out of state adoptions, you would need to travel to the foster family and drive home with your new doodle.
