Murphy was adopted today and his new sister Koda is the perfect sister and family for him. Koda and Murphy romped and played and their energy matches. I know that Murphy has a new family and sister to play and love.

Only 2 years old Murphy had a hard life but is on his way to his furever home in Ohio.…

Chloe- adopted and now a princess in a new land

Posted on June 4, 2011 at 8:39am 5 Comments

I only had Chloe as a foster for 2 weeks, but we really grew to love her!  She has the cutest face and is so energetic. She loved to play with Bailey and Bella. And for the first time since we have been fostering, Bella actually initiated doodleplay with Chloe!

Chloe is now living in Pa with Maureen and her family. Here is their adoption picture. Thanks to all who applied for Chloe, we believe we found the perfect forever family for her. She now has a stay home mom, 2 children who…

Hi Diane!  We live just down I-95 from you in Stafford.  We'll be looking in earnest to be a forever home to a doodle in mid-July.  Please e-mail me at ljvalero@yahoo.com if you hear of anything in our area.  We are primarily looking for an adult -- my mom lives with us who has mobility issues, so she could easily be tripped by a puppy.  We also have a 6-year-old.  Thanks!

He is 18 mos old. Michelle saw him on Craigs List for $300. The family no longer wanted him due to the addition of twins in their family. She said he was terribly matted. He had not been neutered. Michelle had him neutered, he has all his vacinations, and she gave him a great haircut. Our other labradoodle was adopted from a family with a new baby, also. What is it with doodles and babies? Well, their loss is truly our gain. We love him deeply, already, in just one week. He and his sister doodle drink from the same water bowl together, side by side, and eat from each other dishes. He is made for our family!

We took the chance and drove 6 1/2 hours to KLR and found our sweet Rory, which we renamed Riga. He is the loveliest, sweetest bundle of doodle I have ever met. All the dogs seemed happy and not desperate. Although it is in the middle of no where, it was well worth our travel. Michelle was wonderful and I felt confident adopting from KLR. Thanks for the advice, Dianne.

Hi Diane, We are about to travel to KY to rescue a doodle, also from KY Lab Rescue, what can you tell me about them?

We live in Indianapolis, but are always up for a drive! I keep hoping that we'll get a foster ourselves that will turn out to be "the one" that fits our family too perfectly to let go. We thought our first foster, Gus, might be - but we know he's perfect in his new home. I know we could go buy another puppy (almost did), but somehow I feel so much better about rescuing these wonderful babies. The right #2 for us will happen, I'm sure.
