- My wife and were volunteers with PAWED at El Dorado County shelter in Placerville, CA. We've been fostering doodles for DRC since 2012. Our first foster Kura was a "foster failure", so cute and our big boy Ernie loved her so much we wound up adopting her. We've fostered 5 more DRC doodles since then.
- Do you currently own a dog? If not, have you owned dogs in the past? Any other pets?
- Bert, 6 yo n/male F1B Goldendoole, omega personality. Ernie, 4 yo n/male F1 Goldendoole, alpha personality. Kura, 2 yo n/female, beta personality. All 3 love other dogs although Ernie must be the leader and Kura will not be intimidated by bigger dogs.
- If you are looking to adopt a doodle, why have you chosen this mix?

- Have you read our adoption policies, located under the "About DRC" tab?
- Bert ranch breeder in NE, Ernie from Abbey Acres Goldendoodles in Galt, CA. Kura is a DRC rescue. Great dogs! Sweet, smart, friendly, easily trained, cooperative, loving, etc.
- Are you aware that many doodles are not allergy friendly and that many of them do shed?
- Yes
- Are you aware that we do not adopt to homes with children under 10, and that we do not adopt dogs for service work?
- Yes

Meet Cooper NorCal's newest ADOPTED doodle!

Cooper is a sweet and happy 7 year old neutered male Goldendoodle available for adoption in northern CA/NV.
His furever home will need mature, dog savvy adults and he'd love an older doggy brother or sister. He's been with us just a short time but fit in perfectly with our pack and is a well behaved and cooperative pack member. He needs a quiet rural environment as he does not do well with strangers unless they are gently introduced.
He will need leash training…

Oliver is a 28 lb. mini Labradoodle that was originally purchased from a man outside a fast food restaurant by a family with 3 children under the age of 5. Like all puppies Oliver had razor sharp teeth and nails and like all puppies loved to bite, taste, and chew on anything and anyone that came within reach. This perfectly normal behavior soon landed Oliver in the back yard where he stayed for 4 months until his owner decided to sell him on Craigslist.

Oscar has just come into a foster home in LA, rescued from a shelter as a "lost" dog found wandering the streets.
Despite this rough luck his foster mom reports that he is very friendly with a sweet nature, fully housebroken, knows a few basic command but will need leash training.
Oscar is 36 lbs. and neutered and really looks like a love bug!

Buddy is a 1 YO M/n Australian Labradoodle that we took into our home last week for fostering & training. Buddy and his sister Scout were left in a backyard for a year, he had no contact outside his immediate family and no obedience training whatsoever.

Hi Colin,
Well my niece will now be pursuing a rehome process for their dog Tucker. He had another incident today where he snapped at their boy. They are not capable of spending the time to correct this problem and I believe Tucker should go to a home that has no kids and the owners have more time to work with and exercise him.

Hi Colin! I am not sure if I successfully replied on the other thread, so I am replying here as well. I am just checking email for the first time today . . . and YES! We are definitely still looking for a rescue doodle and very interested in Bogey! Can you tell us more? We are a doable drive to So Lake Tahoe, especially with Christmas coming up :).
