I grew up with standard poodles raised my children with a sheep dog Airedale mix, Rhodesian ridgeback, rescued racing greyhound and most recently had a larbradpodle I am looking for a golden doodle not older than 2 that could adopt. No children living in our home fenced back yard
Do you currently own a dog? If not, have you owned dogs as an adult, with vet records in your own name (not parents' names)?
Said that above
Have you read our adoption policies, located under the "About DRC" tab?
Breeders, rescue
Are you aware that many doodles are not allergy friendly and that many of them do shed?
Yes
Are you aware that we do not adopt to homes with children under 10, and that we do not adopt dogs for service work?
Yes
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
No

You can also look at the Regional Listings section for a listing of other adoptable dogs in your area:http://doodlerescue.org/group/doodlesinneedinnorthamerica -- these dogs are at shelters or with other rescues so their adoption criteria may vary.
Hi! Before applying to adopt, be sure to read the link to DRC ADOPTION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES. http://doodlerescue.org/notes/DRC_ADOPTION_POLICIES_AND_PROCEDURES (application at top of page) Check the OUR ADOPTABLE DOODLES section. When you are looking at the pictures, notice that the two letters in front of the dog’s name mean the state they are being fostered in. While the DRC allows out of state applicants, they cannot transport the rescues and will not let them fly, so you need to be within driving distance of the foster. Here are some other ideas for finding a rescue doodle:
Click on the REGIONAL LISTINGS section for doodles with other organizations; PETFINDER (putting in all zip codes within driving distance); GOOGLE in shelters and humane societies within your driving range. Here is a helpful article on how to find a doodle on Petfinder and in shelters: http://doodlerescue.org/group/isadoodleforyou/forum/topics/looks-like-a-doodle-to
