You are very right that the doodles go quickly - usually. Our rescue was overlooked. He was only posted on that shelter site and nowhere else, Even when I posted about him on doodlekisses and DRC, no one inquired about him! We waited a week for someone to get him and when no one did, we took him and are so glad that we did. He is a wonderful boy. When you are looking on shelter sites and on Petfinder, be sure to look at poodles, terrier mixes and any other combo you can come up with. Doodles are often mis-labeled.
We have already sent in our application for Doodle Rescue and have been approved! We are looking for another Doodle to join our family!
We are a young, active, professional couple that seeks out the fun things in life. We currently have Oliver Doodle who is the light of our life. We are looking for another doodle that we can have join us in all our adventures! Dog beaches, dog parks, cabins by the lake, boating, farms... our whole lives are dog friendly!
Do you currently own a dog? If not, have you owned dogs as an adult, with vet records in your own name (not parents' names)?
Oliver is a black and white mini-golden doodle. He is by far the most amazing, laid back and intelligent dog we have ever owned. He was born for the water and water sports. He has lived in other countries, on big boats and goes everywhere with us. We have always had other dogs around and now that we are settled we would love for him to have a permanent brother or sister. We are actively looking.
Have you read our adoption policies, located under the "About DRC" tab?
A breeder in Florida. Prefer to rescue from now on.
Are you now involved in Rescue? If so, how? Are you interested in volunteering with our rescue?
No- not at the moment. I am here because ever since we purchased Oliver there is and always was this sense that we should have researched rescuing first. Now we want to add to our little family of three and find the right doodle for our home. We love the breed from head to toe. I have enjoyed learning more and more about them from this website. Its my new Homepage on my computer... I hope to be more involved!
