Comment by Karen and Jackdoodle on May 27, 2016 at 9:15pm: Michele, the Doodle Train is only used to rescue dogs; to get dogs from shelters or other unsafe situations to a safe foster home, Never from a foster to an adopter. Adopters absolutely must go to the dog's foster location to pick up the dog in person and drive him to his new home, no exceptions.

I just discovered this train. I am completely smitten with Fergus in Saint Louis MO. But I have not pursued it because it would take 27 hours of driving (each way) to pick him up. Now that I know that the train exists maybe there is a glimmer of hope. If I could cut that drive in half we could do it. Who do I need to talk to to see if this would be possible? Or should I just be patient and wait for a doodle closer to home? Thanks!
