Update on Ziva:

Ziva is thriving and loving life in her forever home. She weighs about 50 pounds and loves to romp with Max and Dudley. She is totally attached to Roger and never leaves his side. She has finally warmed up to me, but is still skittish when anyone else approaches. We are keeping her trimmed fairly short due to matting. She is mostly black with some wild white hairs here and there and tufts of brown mixed in. She is a lover and seems to be very comfortable with us.

It's so good to hear that Fitz is doing so well and bringing so much happiness to your family! It sure looks like he's living the good life now!

Follow up on Fitz (aka Scottie- one of the Three Amigos):

We call him the "Entertainer" - he keeps us laughing all the time. The photo with my DH is one of his rare restful moments. He IS a snug-a-bug and must have his morning hugs & kisses before anyone can do anything else. For the past 2 months he's been going to Choo Choo Doggie Day Camp once a week where he's been chosen as the Best Dog of the Day on two occasions. He is still anxious around strangers, and the wonderful folks at the doggie day camp have been a great support.

We love our Fitz and cannot imagine life without him!

Thanks so much for the photos and the update, Lynn! It's so great to see how happy Molly is with you and Sadie and what a wonderful home you've given her!

Just wanted to update on Molly, my doodle I adopted from DRC in Jan 2010.  This was her first Christmas with us and here are a couple of pictures of her and Sadie.  Molly on the left and Sadie on the right with their presents.

Playing tug-o-war outside in the snow, one of their favorite games.

She loves to run and play in the snow

Looks like the tug-o-war was a draw!

Sadie and I are very happy that Molly came to live with us.  My two girls get along very well and love to play together.

Happy New Year to all.

Thanks, Sarah...I knew your family was the perfect fit for Sasha! Glad that she is thriving with you :)

We learned of doodles when we found a lost boy and kept him until we found his owner. Of course, we fell in love with him and immediately started searching for one of our own. We were willing to travel to pick one up. The search led us to Sasha. Amazingly enough, she was being foster by Tracy Farmer only minutes from our house! My husband, myself and our two boys went to meet her and it was love at first sight. Sasha has been with us a week today and she is already settled in. We feel like our family is complete and feel so blessed to have been introduced to the world of doodles. Who knew there was a perfect dog? LOL!
This organization and Tracy are wonderful! I will continue to recommend to everyone I meet.

I just saw Murph's DRC picture and story and it brought back so many memories. It was March 5th that Jacquie sent me the email saying that he could be ours if we were interested. Interested....OMG I was bouncing off the walls. I will never forget that Friday night. I never slept one wink. We spent Saturday getting everything we would need to bring him home, and on Sunday we went to NJ to meet our new baby Dood. We had a one year old Doodle (Guinness) and the two of them cuddled up together in the back seat the whole way home, and they've been buddies and great Irish brothers ever since. I look at this picture and I just can't even believe he was ever this small. He weighed 10 he weighs 40. He was a sweet, quiet little he's a rowdy goofball. That was only a little over three months could this be? You can only imagine Guinness's surprise that his "baby brother" now weighs more than twice as much as he does (Guinness is a "mini"). I will forever be grateful for the DRC for bringing this amazing guy into our lives. He is a laugh a minute, especially now that he's developed this quirky personality. It took him a little while to feel safe and to fully trust us, but those days are over and now "he is running things around here". Jacquie, thanks for posting this and bringing back all those special memories. Three's like he's always been part of our lives.

Example : MAXIMO/JACK-ADOPTED 6-8-2010
Comment by Wendi Fahan on June 13, 2010 at 11:54am
Dear Jack (previously known as Maximo), whom we adopted last Saturday, has proven to be more wonderful than we could have dreamed. He has the BEST personality and just wants to be with his humans. He has boundless energy for the long walks and bike rides that he goes on. And he mellows when we rest. He was my husband's birthday present and he was the perfect present - my husband now has the 'shadow' that was missing since January when we had to put our beloved Boone down due to diabetic paralysis at the age of 12.5. Dear Jack fills our hearts and makes us smile and laugh.
Yesterday Jack was outside all day with us; we had a birthday party - probably 30 people were here and Jack was great. He played with a frisbee, hung around the humans and was so at home. He wasn't on a leash at all - he didn't need to be. He didn't want to leave the property. Who could ask for a better dog?
We will be working on training Jack and socializing him. He is not sure of himself around other dogs and needs time to learn how he should behave. Adrienne's dogs Charlie and Sam were wonderful with Jack. Thank you Charlie and Sam!!! Thank you Adrienne!!
