We lost our sweet labradoodle, Zoey, 3 months ago to stomach cancer and I look at the pictures of the available doodles every day hoping there will soon be one in Texas that we can adopt. She walked EVERY day with my husband and became well known in our neighborhood.  Now he is finally walking again but it is so hard to explain to our caring friends what happened to her.  Hopefully, we will find a doodle in Texas we can bring into our home!

I am very sorry for your loss, Diane. You should submit an application now, even if there is not a dog in the listings who is near you. There are new dogs coming into the program every week; currently there are more than half a dozen who are not yet listed, in all parts of the country. Submitting an application does not obligate you in any way, but it will help to have an approved application on file when a dog does get listed who seems to be a good match for you.

Good luck.

I am so sorry, Diane.
